“Four years ago, as I was having computer problems, I decided to call my favourite “techy,” Mike, at A Laptop Shoppe in Calgary. In addition to answering my questions, Mike started suggesting some features on a new machine that I might like to have in the future. “A ‘big thank you’ to Mike and his crew at A Laptop Shoppe! These folks truly exceeded all my expectations and did so for a very reasonable price, just as they said they would. I had huge registry problems and was stuck in safe mode with no way to back up and save anything to a flash drive or an external hard drive. I had lost my internet drivers and had no way to reconnect to the internet. I was looking at ten years of genealogy research being lost and truly felt it would be unlikely that anyone would be able to help me recover it all. I had tons of research at risk in the form of email clues gathered over the years, family pictures both old and new, copies of official birth, marriage and death certificates, newspaper articles, family journals, my favorites list with the sites that backed up facts related to my family history and my email contact list.
